What problem is FuturoTech trying to solve?

Challenge-Inequity in Tech.png

The tech sector workforce does not reflect the overall U.S. population. Women and people of color are disproportionately represented. Latinx representation is particularly low.

Inequity in the tech workforce is partly related to the education pipeline. There is not a proportional number of women or people of color choosing/completing tech degrees.

Latinx students have a nearly 3-decade trend of experiencing less academic success than many of the students who do not look like them or share similar histories.

Latinx students are not experiencing the same academic success because they are under-resourced. Public, nonprofit and private funding skews heavily away from them.

FuturoTech converts untapped social capital into academic support and redirects private sector funding into the lives of Latinx students
